Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide full-time electrical design engineering support for Y-12 Facility Design to expedite closure of Change Requests for Configuration Managed systems returned to service over 90 days.
  • •Review Change Requests for RTS systems that have not been closed and identify the affected documents that must be revised.
  • •Perform walkdowns as needed to verify work described by Change Requests has been performed.
  • •Review and compare information on affected documents against the work defined by the Change Requests, and prepare redline markups.
  • •Provide redlined affected documents to drafting personnel and verify correct incorporation into the parent CM document.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 103,918 - 176,694 annually

Key Requirements

  • •ABET accredited BS degree in Electrical Engineering discipline plus 10 or more years of relevant professional experience.
  • •Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance (Q clearance required; DOE Q clearance preferred).
  • •Familiarity with developing design output in accordance with CNS and consensus national standards such as NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and ASME.
  • •Experience in a NRC or DOE regulated environment, including understanding conduct of engineering and conduct of operations for nuclear-regulated facilities.
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface effectively with production and support organizations.
