Job Summary

Design, code, test, and support training technology that powers American Airlines’ Pilot Training in the corporate LMS and distance learning programs. Maintain and enhance enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development. Build and troubleshoot desktop/web apps and databases (SQL, MS Access, Databricks), automate workflows with VBA, and modernize systems into Azure while following cybersecurity and coding best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Deploy and support Pilot Training through the corporate LMS for 15,000+ student users.
•Support corporate and regulatory-required distance learning courses and off-site training servers for AAPILOTS web pages and content.
•Develop and maintain training software and media, including desktop and web applications, databases, and VBA/macro-driven spreadsheets.
•Troubleshoot, debug, and implement solutions for complex issues; document standards and processes for learning program software and systems.
•Research and implement new technologies and industry trends to improve processes, security, and performance; collaborate with business, IT architecture, and technical leads.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience/training.
•3-5 years of full SDLC experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale hosted production applications.
•3-5 years of full stack IT project experience, including experience in a large corporate training environment (eLearning).
•2 years supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure, PC hardware and end users, or relevant experience.
