Key Responsibilities

  • •Take the lead on cost control for multiple non-related projects or highly complex single projects within an energy infrastructure programme.
  • •Implement and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts, and produce accruals to reflect ACWP accurately.
  • •Establish and maintain an integrated performance measurement baseline (PMB) and support change control using cost information for change notes and forecasts.
  • •Develop and maintain cost breakdown structures (CBS), align time phasing with WBS, map estimates to work packages/control accounts, and update Estimate To Complete (ETC) forecasts.
  • •Ensure adherence to NEC/FIDIC contract processes for management, control and reporting; validate supply chain data for trending/forecasting, and guide cost control assurance activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional Project Controls experience specializing in cost engineering/cost control across the project lifecycle (nuclear desirable).
  • •Detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting, and performance reporting/analysis.
  • •Strong communication skills and leadership behaviors, with the ability to influence, motivate, coach, and develop a team.
  • •Familiarity with cost performance reporting and cost forecasting techniques, including leading cost control assurance activities.
  • •Experience with stakeholder management and the ability to navigate conflict situations.
