Key Responsibilities

  • •Own data quality for designated regions/product groups; validate automated outputs and ingest data from diverse external sources.
  • •Develop and optimize data workflows using SQL and Python to improve efficiency and accuracy of seaborne flow data.
  • •Monitor metals and minerals markets; extract patterns and translate them into actionable insights for clients.
  • •Lead responses to ad-hoc client requests with rapid, well-structured analysis and collaborate with Sales and Customer Success.
  • •Engage with broader data architecture to propose scalable improvements across upstream data sources, internal systems, and client-facing solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record of working with large, disparate datasets in shipping, commodity trading, or supply chain analytics.
  • •Proven proficiency in querying and managing relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or similar) with solid experience using Python to automate workflows.
  • •Hands-on experience using REST APIs to ingest and process data feeds.
  • •High level of competency in MS Excel for complex commercial modeling.
  • •Experience or genuine curiosity about metals, minerals, and global supply chains; interest in mentoring others.
