•Contribute full time to building new search features and fixing bugs, improving code clarity and understanding.
•Work with a globally distributed team focused on vector search capabilities of Elasticsearch.
•Drive improvements in Elasticsearch search relevance based on questions and instincts.
•Collaborate with community members worldwide on issues and pull requests, including triaging and contributing fixes.

Key Requirements

•Professional experience with search or vector databases, including use of HNSW, IVF, or related algorithms and libraries at scale.
•Solid core Java skills, including familiarity with data structures, concurrency constructs, and lambdas.
•Ability to take on projects end to end, covering technical design and collaboration with other engineers to deliver components.
•Comfortable giving and receiving feedback on code and approaches, including collaborative development practices.
•Some understanding of data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
