Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Power Supply Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications across the power supply system.
  • •Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical malfunctions, replace faulty equipment, and handover/take back for electrical workshop repair.
  • •Perform electrical and stress testing under supervision, including checks of motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, circuit breakers, GIS, and generators.
  • •Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in good condition before and after job activities.
  • •Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system and support complex systems/new projects when assigned.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 1 year experience as a qualified power supply maintenance technician maintaining and repairing power supply and distribution systems, preferably in rail or power utilities.
  • •Knowledge of 750V DC traction and transmission/distribution equipment (e.g., 132K/33K GIS, 132kV/33kV transformers, high speed DC circuit breakers) is a definite advantage.
  • •Ability to diagnose electrical or mechanical malfunctions or failures, replace faulty equipment, and coordinate handover for repair.
  • •Essential knowledge and experience operating SCADA control and configuring programmable logic controllers.
  • •Vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent, with good eyesight and normal colour vision.
