Key Responsibilities

  • •Fix vulnerabilities across the stack by working in AWS and application repositories and driving pull requests to merge.
  • •Build and tune SIEM detections in Datadog Cloud SIEM, owning detection coverage and mapping visibility against MITRE ATT&CK.
  • •Respond to security incidents by investigating, containing, writing the RCA, and tracking remediation until closed.
  • •Harden the AWS environment using GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, CloudTrail, KMS, Secrets Manager, IAM least privilege, and full log coverage.
  • •Secure the delivery pipeline with tools like GitHub Advanced Security, Dependabot, secret scanning, push protection, CrowdStrike scanning, and Kubernetes admission policy.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of experience, or at least 6 years of practical security engineering, detection engineering, or incident response experience.
  • •Write code and ship fixes as pull requests by understanding and working in application repositories.
  • •Deep AWS security experience, including IAM least-privilege, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, KMS, and VPC controls, plus securing container and serverless workloads.
  • •Hands-on detection engineering in a SIEM: writing rules, tuning against real noise, and explaining what you intentionally chose not to alert on.
  • •Real incident response experience in cloud environments, including investigation, containment, evidence handling, and post-incident write-ups.
