Key Responsibilities

  • •Optimize and validate HVAC equipment selection, including size, configuration, voltage, and options by reviewing plans, specifications, original estimates, and proposals.
  • •Evaluate cost savings and/or cost problems across projects and validate scope by reviewing transition documents, listing cost opportunities and issues, planning EQ/VPP dollar breaks, and validating quantities and configurations.
  • •Support sales with preliminary and final submittals as required, including holding job cost consensus meetings and releasing submittals with updates as needed.
  • •Negotiate prices with vendors to maintain competitive advantage, stay current on industry trends, and optimize expenses.
  • •Prepare equipment for order entry by verifying equipment pricing, revising coordination worksheets, reconciling job costs, and supporting data collection and entry to keep bid information current.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or Engineering Technology, or a related field, with minimum two (2) years of HVAC industry experience in project management or estimating roles.
  • •Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, or minimum five (5) years of HVAC industry experience in project management or estimating roles.
  • •Familiarity with HVAC systems is preferred.
  • •Flexibility to work outside normal work hours as required.
  • •Experience performing estimating and project support for HVAC equipment selection and pricing processes.
