Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead environmental screening assessments of potential investment opportunities at origination stage.
  • •Coordinate biodiversity, avifauna, and bat baseline studies for projects in portfolio and oversee related surveys.
  • •Drive biodiversity risk management across project planning and operations, including integration into siting, design, and mitigation measures.
  • •Oversee development and implementation of Biodiversity Management Plans (BMPs) and Biodiversity Action Plans (BAPs) and support lender due diligence and ESG reporting.
  • •Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure biodiversity requirements are incorporated into ESMS and project-specific ESMS; monitor and report on biodiversity KPIs.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Ecology, Biodiversity, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field.
  • •Minimum of 12 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • •Experience with a Developer, an E&S / biodiversity Consultancy, or development financial institution.
  • •Practical experience in wind and solar PV utility scale infrastructure assets.
  • •Previous experience on bird and bat surveys, collision risk assessments, mitigation and management planning.
