Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with retirement business leads (about 40% of the time).
  • •Serve as primary consultant and day-to-day relationship manager for an assigned block of group retirement clients.
  • •Lead annual plan reviews and ongoing touchpoints to assess plan performance, member outcomes, and alignment to client objectives.
  • •Advise on plan design enhancements and provide guidance on plan governance and regulatory requirements (federal and provincial).
  • •Support clients through plan changes, vendor transitions, and special projects while proactively addressing risks and service/retention concerns.

Key Requirements

  • •College or university graduate (or equivalent business experience).
  • •Valid LLQP (required to obtain within one year if not already in place).
  • •Typically five years of experience in the group retirement insurance industry, preferably in customer service or account management (or Financial Planning/Insurance).
  • •Knowledge of group plan investment options and categories (e.g., pensions, RRSPs, DPSPs, TFSAs) and capital markets concepts.
  • •Strong oral and written communication plus skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
