Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform MTF (Maintenance Test Flight), FTF (Functional Test Flight), and MOC (Maintenance Operational Checks) on customer MH-47G series aircraft.
  • •Use ground and in-flight diagnostic test equipment as part of maintenance testing.
  • •Demonstrate instrument task proficiency on the annual flight evaluation conducted by flight detachment evaluators.
  • •Undergo annual flight evaluation conducted by an Instructor Pilot (IP) and Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator (MTFE).
  • •Ensure required Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) tasks for assigned flight duties are accomplished (non-tactical base tasks).

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified in the MH-47G or CH-47F MDS aircraft.
  • •No less than a combined 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command time, including a minimum of 100 hours in the MH-47G or CH-47F aircraft.
  • •At least 50 hours logged as a Maintenance Test Pilot on MH-47G or CH-47F aircraft, with DA Form 759 and flight records to prove currency/ratings.
  • •Graduates of the AMOC I and II course, with an FAA Class 2 Flight Physical and an instrument rating on their FAA Commercial Certificates.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and possess (or be able to obtain) an Active Secret Clearance (Interim Secret required to start).
