Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and ship moderate-to-complex backend features with pragmatic trade-offs between modular-monolith, shared components, and independently operated services.
  • •Define backend standards for style, maintainability, testing, APIs, and operational readiness; advocate for quality, security, availability, and performance.
  • •Mentor and lead engineers by removing blockers and improving delivery practices through code and design reviews.
  • •Diagnose and prevent performance and reliability issues at scale, including participating in incident response as a technical owner when appropriate.
  • •Use AI in production engineering work to improve outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, and coach others on responsible high-judgment use.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong backend architecture and API expertise, including data systems and performance tuning in complex environments.
  • •Experience designing or evolving modular backend boundaries, bounded contexts, and migration-safe architectures.

  • •Proven experience building or operating agentic AI systems in production with reliable tool-use and error-handling strategies.
  • •Helpful experience with high-throughput distributed systems, concurrency/profiling, and containerized production operations (e.g., Kubernetes).
