Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and accept/refine requirements with Product Management for IT monitoring features owned by the team.
  • •Troubleshoot and mitigate MySQL and Python performance issues found in the Skylar One platform.
  • •Implement new feature work in Python, PHP, and MySQL using accepted coding practices, including writing and maintaining unit tests.
  • •Participate in feature hand-off demonstrations to provide internal exposure to new and existing functionality.
  • •Resolve complex defects within the software.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
  • •8+ years of software development experience in Python, maintaining highly-scalable Python processes.
  • •6+ years using Linux, and 6+ years with MySQL including views, stored functions, and stored procedures.
  • •Experience developing multi-threaded or multi-process software.
  • •Basic working knowledge of SNMP, SOAP, and RESTful APIs.
