Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build deep learning systems for search ranking, session-based recommendations, and multi-objective personalization.
  • •Incorporate geographic context into ranking and own recommendation/ranking for pickup points.
  • •Translate business goals into ML objectives with non-functional requirements and relevant proxy metrics.
  • •Lead evaluation end-to-end, connecting offline metrics to online A/B test design and interpretation.
  • •Partner with backend and product/operations teams to move models to production and manage the ML lifecycle with monitoring, drift handling, and retraining pipelines.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of machine learning engineering experience, including building and deploying deep learning models in production.
  • •Direct experience with search, NLP, ranking, recommendation, or relevance systems.
  • •Expert-level proficiency in Python and core data science libraries plus SQL (e.g., PySpark, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
  • •Ability to design an ML system end-to-end from data analysis and processing to model serving in production.
  • •Experience with MLOps and production model lifecycle management, including deployment, latency optimization, and concept drift detection/management.
