Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead health insurance regulatory compliance by reviewing products, policy terms, underwriting, enrolment, claims, pre-authorization, reimbursement, and complaints for regulatory compliance.
  • •Oversee compliance risks across provider networks, brokers, outsourcing partners, and TPAs, including due diligence, contracts, service levels, data access, and audit rights.
  • •Monitor DHA and Abu Dhabi Department of Health laws, regulations, standards, circulars, notices, and ensure coordination and timely implementation across departments.
  • •Maintain an updated register of applicable regulatory requirements and support regulatory reporting, responses, and confirmations; coordinate follow-up on inspections, reviews, audits, observations, and remediation.
  • •Support compliance monitoring and assurance through risk-based reviews, evidence/documentation, accountable action tracking, remediation follow-ups, and escalation of material breaches.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Business, Insurance, Healthcare Administration, or related field; relevant professional qualification preferred.
  • •Typically 10–12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial or senior advisory role.
  • •Strong knowledge of UAE insurance regulation and practical medical-insurance experience.
  • •Experience working with regulators, inspections, remediation, and senior governance forums.
  • •Understanding of medical underwriting, claims, provider contracting, TPAs, coding, billing, outsourcing, and health-data risks.
