Job Summary

Lead end-to-end hydraulic modelling for stormwater, river, and wastewater infrastructure planning, applying hydraulic principles to networks, culverts, bridges, and 2D flows. Build, validate, and calibrate scenarios using Innovyze ICM and/or Tuflow, interpret outputs for planning, and produce floodplain and hazard mapping. Use geospatial data tools (ArcGIS/QGIS), provide client-ready reports, manage technical risks, and support delivery across scoping, QA, and bid activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply hydraulic principles for river, storm, and wastewater infrastructure planning, including stormwater networks, culverts, bridges, open channel, and 2D surface flows.
•Interpret hydraulic models and outputs; develop hydrologic models and urban hydrology for hydraulic modelling.
•Use Innovyze ICM and/or TuFlow to build, update, or test scenarios, including schematisation, validation/calibration, performance assessment, and floodplain and hazard mapping.
•Ensure model accuracy across model build, demand analysis & allocation, calibration, and masterplanning, while implementing QA protocols.
•Manage technical risks, prepare client-ready reports and presentations, and review work by junior colleagues.

Key Requirements

•Masters/Bachelors degree in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering or similar.
•Member of a professional body such as CIWEM or ICE; Chartered or equivalent status preferred.
•8+ years of experience in hydraulic modelling for large-scale river, storm, and wastewater infrastructure projects.
•At least 4+ years of hands-on experience using TuFlow/Innovyze ICM.
•Fluency in spoken and written English to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
