Job Summary

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for MEP (HVAC, electrical, and plumbing) systems, based on drawings and specifications. Develop interim valuations and interim payment applications, analyze drawing/submittal deviations, and support variations and claims with measurement and rate build-ups. Track cost/time impacts, collaborate with planning on delay notices, manage risk and opportunity registers, and produce monthly cashflow forecasts and final account statements.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for MEP systems (mechanical/HVAC, electrical, and plumbing) based on project specifications and drawings.
•Develop and update interim valuations, prepare interim payment applications, and issue subcontractor payment certifications while maintaining logs.
•Review instructions, drawing and submittal comments to identify deviations from specifications and scope; prepare notices of variation/claims with supporting documents.
•Prepare cost proposals for variations (measurement sheets, rate build-ups, supporting documents), identify cost/time-impact events, and prepare draft delay notices with the planning engineer.
•Produce monthly cashflow forecasts and cost value reconciliation reports; prepare final account statements and maintain risk and opportunity assessments/registers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or diploma in quantity surveying (or related field) with 4–5 years in the oil & gas/construction industry.
•Minimum 3 years as a Quantity Surveyor on sizeable projects in a similar business or industry.
•02+ years of experience in UAE or the Middle East.
•Strong understanding of quantification, cost estimation, commercial management, and project cost control/reporting.
•Knowledge of standard methods of measurements (e.g., CESMM, POMI) and standard forms of contract, with HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
