Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and lead the design process and deliver right solutions across the agreed programme, supporting less experienced team members through technical review and mentoring.
  • •Develop innovative and sustainable structural designs from concept for multi-disciplinary projects across sectors and project types.
  • •Provide sustainable structural solutions through detailed design and construction, including specialist advice for net zero carbon, MMC, and DfMA.
  • •Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise.
  • •Manage processes to resolve technical issues and risks in a timely and cost-effective manner while collaborating with other disciplines, consultants, stakeholders, and clients.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • •Progression path to Chartership (IStructE or ICE).
  • •Solid experience in structural engineering design in all materials.
  • •Detailed working knowledge of national codes and standards.
  • •Experience producing structural calculations and using structural design software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, and Tedds.
