Job Summary

Join the expanding Building Structures team as a full-time engineer responsible for technical structural design across all RIBA stages. Work on high-profile, multi-disciplinary projects spanning high-rise, stadia/arenas, urban regeneration, healthcare, commercial/mixed use, major refurbishment, and data centres. Lead and own parts of the design process, resolve technical issues and risks, collaborate with internal disciplines and external consultants, and support sustainable, net zero carbon and MMC/DfMA solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and lead the design process and deliver right solutions across the agreed programme, supporting less experienced team members through technical review and mentoring.
•Develop innovative and sustainable structural designs from concept for multi-disciplinary projects across sectors and project types.
•Provide sustainable structural solutions through detailed design and construction, including specialist advice for net zero carbon, MMC, and DfMA.
•Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise.
•Manage processes to resolve technical issues and risks in a timely and cost-effective manner while collaborating with other disciplines, consultants, stakeholders, and clients.

Key Requirements

•Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline.
•Progression path to Chartership (IStructE or ICE).
•Solid experience in structural engineering design in all materials.
•Detailed working knowledge of national codes and standards.
•Experience producing structural calculations and using structural design software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, and Tedds.
