Job Summary

Contribute to public health and safety by conducting risk-based inspections of food establishments. Perform daily inspection rounds, educate and guide food-handling workers, and handle reports related to food and poisoning cases. Take corrective actions for non-compliance, prepare periodic inspection reports, and collect food samples for the food control laboratory according to the approved plan.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct daily inspection tours of food establishments in the assigned area to ensure compliance with health requirements for food preparation and handling, based on risk level.
•Guide, direct, and educate workers in food establishments/shops on required health methods and assess workers’ health awareness.
•Seize and confiscate food items that are unfit for human consumption and violate applicable laws, health requirements, and specifications.
•Respond to public complaints related to food, food establishments, and food poisoning cases; verify issues and take appropriate actions per the defined process.
•Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on scheduled inspection activities and raise them to the direct supervisor with notes and corrective measures.
