Job Summary

Lead Red 6’s U.S. export compliance program by developing ITAR/EAR policies, overseeing licensing and shipping documentation, and managing deemed export, sanctions, and restricted-party screening. Serve as the Empowered Official and main DDTC point of contact, approve export license applications and agreements, and conduct audits. Partner with engineering, R&D, procurement, logistics, and IT/cybersecurity to ensure correct classification and secure handling of controlled technical data.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, maintain, and execute a robust export control and ITAR compliance program, including policies and procedures for ITAR/EAR compliance.
•Act as the Empowered Official: review and approve export license applications and agreements (TAAs/MLAs) and serve as the primary DDTC point of contact.
•Oversee licensing, documentation, and classification of controlled products, software, and technology (including USML vs CCL determinations).
•Manage sanctions, embargoes, deemed export controls, and restricted-party screening, coordinating screening protocols for clients, vendors, and suppliers.
•Lead export shipping and logistics compliance and partner with IT/cybersecurity to ensure compliant storage, encryption, access control, and secure handling of controlled technical data.

Pay and Benefits

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in ITAR and export compliance, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-tech sectors.

•In-depth knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and other U.S. export control laws.
•Proven experience preparing and managing export licenses, agreements, and related documentation.
•Ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
