Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform geotechnical field investigations and construction oversight, coordinating with drillers, subcontractors, site personnel, and project teams.
  • •Assist in setting up geotechnical investigations, including driller acquisition, traffic control, permitting, utility locates, field planning, site access coordination, and health/safety preparation.
  • •Participate in geophysical investigations using methods such as seismic refraction, ReMi, MASW, electrical resistivity, and electromagnetic surveys.
  • •Collect, compile, and analyze field data (soil/water/rock samples, surveys, GIS and subsurface information) with quality control for accurate measurements and documentation.
  • •Support processing, analysis, and interpretation of geophysical datasets and assist with subsurface models and preparation of technical reports/memoranda under senior staff guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geophysics, or related discipline.
  • •1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience in geotechnical engineering, field investigations, construction observation, geophysical field work, or subsurface characterization.
  • •Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain EIT within 1 year of hire.
  • •Ability to perform field work safely, including working in uneven ground and active construction/mining/industrial environments.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
