Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct and coordinate special education compliance staff to prepare and document IDEA-required compliance documents.
  • •Oversee the development, compliance, maintenance, and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • •Ensure fiscal compliance for special education programs, including IDEA Part B funds and related reporting.
  • •Work with testing, enrollment, and records teams to support appropriate accommodations, timely identification, and student enrollment processes.
  • •Supervise compliance/coordinator/clerk staff, including onboarding and training, and communicate process/procedure changes to SPED compliance staff.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in education, special education, or a related field AND five (5) years of educational experience AND one (1) year of supervisory experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Valid Texas special education teaching certification.
  • •Demonstrable leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and strong web proficiency.
