Job Summary

Lead and develop a team of 10–12 hourly technicians as the refrigeration “go-to” for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair across ammonia refrigeration and related utility systems. Drive daily work completion using SAP-PM maintenance reporting, coordinate schedules with the maintenance planner, lead safety practices and training, and support root-cause and maintenance evaluations while ensuring PSM compliance when the refrigeration supervisor is absent.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform refrigeration supervisor functions for a team of 10–12 hourly technicians (excluding payroll, promotion/demotion, attendance, and disciplinary activities).
•Ensure safe, accident-free work by following Tyson safety programs and leading safety huddles and hazard recognition.
•Troubleshoot and conduct maintenance/repairs for ammonia refrigeration and related compressed air, water, and steam systems plus electrical components.
•Train technicians hands-on and support Plant Floor Demonstrated Skills evaluations and documentation as part of skills training.
•Coordinate daily maintenance work through schedules and SAP-PM daily maintenance reports, update documentation, and support maintenance evaluations and root-cause corrective actions to prevent downtime recurrence.

Key Requirements

•Complete Tyson Skills Training Curriculum for Refrigeration Technician levels 1–8, Mechanical-Electrical Technician levels 1–4, and Automation Technician levels 1–4.
•Master technician-level troubleshooting skills across multiple craft disciplines.
•At least 6 months of Refrigeration/HVAC/Ammonia or Mechanical experience.
•Some electrical experience and some welding experience.
•Ability to pass a respirator physical within one week (unless New Hire 90 days and test Level 3 or higher).
