Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee engineering design projects across the UK & Ireland, collaborating with Discipline Leads, Project Managers, and Directors to build project teams as needed.
  • •Act as Technical Project Manager for multi-disciplinary design projects, overseeing disciplines including substations, cables, protection & control, civils, overhead lines, and environmental scopes.
  • •Manage the full design lifecycle from concept to completion, including concept, FEED, environmental assessments, permitting/consenting, planning, cost estimation, and detailed engineering.
  • •Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards, and that design submissions meet applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.
  • •Provide regular updates on progress, costs, schedules, procurement, safety and design concerns; coordinate resources and subcontractors; support proposals, lead presentations, contract negotiations, and internal design reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in electrical or power systems engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Transmission & Distribution/renewables/large infrastructure design experience across multi-disciplinary scopes.
  • •Experience managing complex, multi-discipline projects and meeting delivery requirements for UK & Ireland clients.
  • •Working experience with the National Grid & other TSO projects is advantageous.
  • •Strong client relationship management and business development skills; chartered ship & LCDAE/CDAE certifications are advantageous.
