Job Summary

Perform safe, effective inspections and repairs on Ready Mix Trucks, tractors, and trailers. Diagnose defects using engine diagnostic/computerized test equipment and calibration devices, repair or replace worn parts, and test equipment to manufacturer specifications. Carry out routine maintenance (oil, filters, oil samples, batteries, lubrication), read repair/operating manuals, and follow safety training. Evening and occasional weekend hours with travel within the operational area.

Key Responsibilities

•Follow safety regulations according to provided training.
•Inspect equipment and diagnose defects in Ready Mix Trucks, tractors, and trailers.
•Repair and replace damaged or worn parts; dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using proper tools.
•Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance with manufacturer specifications.
•Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, oil/filter changes, oil samples, battery checks) and read/understand operating and repair manuals.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Must be 18 or older.
•Valid driver’s license.
•Heavy equipment technical schooling or equivalent experience in a mechanical environment is highly encouraged.
•Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including listening and applying feedback.
•Welding/torch capability and heavy highway experience preferred (CDL license is a plus).
