Job Summary

Serve as a Retail Personal Banker I across the Southwest Michigan region after completing a 9-week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service. Use a consultative sales approach and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles, cross-sell retail consumer and small business products, and schedule periodic financial reviews using approved marketing tools. Process teller transactions, support platform staff, and maintain accurate, ethical risk-focused customer service while meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
•Maintain knowledge of retail consumer and small business products and recommend solutions aligned to the value proposition.
•Use CAMP and approved marketing tools to reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
•Cross-sell existing customers and conduct outside sales activities, including community financial literacy events and business sales calls as directed.
•Process teller transactions and work as a member of the platform staff while participating in loan and bankcard processing and financial center opening/closing activities as directed.

Key Requirements

•Complete a college degree or work experience that provides transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
•Demonstrate sales comfort to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to existing customers.
•Understand advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information.
•Develop working knowledge of retail policies and procedures to make sound decisions.
•Obtain required S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at time of employment.
