Own quality control, docket verification, and rules-based deadline calculations, and perform advanced court research and customized docket reporting for legal teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and personally execute electronic filings of pleadings, motions, and complex documents in federal, state, and appellate courts nationwide.
•Serve as the resident procedural authority for NY, NJ, and DE filing logistics, local rules, and court protocols across NYSCEF, eCourts, Delaware eFlex/File & ServeXpress, and related courts.
•Perform pre-filing audits (formatting, redaction, signatures, exhibits) and verify docket entry data in the firm’s docketing system (Milana).
•Interpret and apply rules to calculate, verify, and input litigation deadlines and enter event reminders into rules-based docketing software.
•Research litigants and dockets using online databases and prepare customized docket reports with upcoming deadline information for legal teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 41.03 - 46.15 hourly

Key Requirements

•5+ years of recent litigation docketing and court filing experience within a mid-to-large law firm, with strong emphasis on NY, NJ, and DE courts.
•Deep knowledge of civil procedure and court structures, including Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) and state civil practice rules (NY CPLR, NJ Court Rules, and Delaware rules).
•Expert proficiency in rules-based docketing systems (Milana and/or CompuLaw) and hands-on use of court e-filing platforms (e.g., PACER/ECF, NYSCEF, eCourts, Odyssey).
•Meticulous accuracy when reviewing complex legal documents, redaction rules, and calculating statutory deadlines.
•Ability to prioritize and execute urgent filings in a high-volume litigation environment while communicating complex procedural requirements clearly to attorneys and staff.
