Job Summary

Train to perform non-destructive examinations that ensure machined materials and products meet acceptability standards. Conduct regular and complex inspections for surface and subsurface defects, operate magnetic particle and penetrant equipment, and prepare materials for testing. Use blueprints and specifications to set up tests and support report preparation, while working toward qualification requirements and maintaining ratings for customer evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform regular and complex non-destructive examinations to determine material or product acceptability.
•Inspect for surface and subsurface defects such as cracks, laminations, pinholes, voids, and defects in welds.
•Operate magnetic particle and penetrant examination equipment to test, measure, and inspect materials and products.
•Prepare materials or products for examination by cleaning, identifying, and setting up for testing.
•Read or interpret blueprints/drawings and support report preparation and additional qualifications.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Knowledge of Magnetic Particle and Penetrant Test procedures (preferred).
•Ability to read and understand blueprints.
•Capability of obtaining customer certification requirements.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
