Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with R&D leaders and Corporate FP&A to build and maintain the R&D budget, headcount plan, and opex forecast.
  • •Track R&D actuals vs. budget, investigate variances, and prepare monthly variance commentary for R&D leadership.
  • •Support R&D headcount planning, including hiring pipeline, backfills, and contractor/vendor spend.
  • •Maintain recurring R&D finance deliverables such as monthly business reviews, dashboards, and spend summaries in Pigment.
  • •Use AI and automation tools (e.g., GenAI assistants, Pigment’s Analyst Agent, lightweight scripting) to reduce manual effort in reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of FP&A experience, ideally supporting an engineering, product, and/or IT organization in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment.
  • •Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • •Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets and Slides, including pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
  • •Experience with financial planning tools (Pigment or Anaplan preferred).
  • •Ability to collaborate across time zones and communicate effectively with technical, non-finance stakeholders.
