Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide day-to-day supervision, mentoring, and technical guidance to two Environmental Officers.
  • •Lead implementation of environmental permits, planning permissions, and associated management plans across project sites, translating permit conditions into practical site controls.
  • •Supervise daily environmental activities and implement inspection, surveillance, and assurance programmes to verify contractor and site compliance.
  • •Interpret environmental data and monitoring results, identify trends and risks, and recommend corrective actions and follow-through on corrective/preventive actions.
  • •Act as lead site-based environmental contact, support regulatory inspections and audits, and lead/support environmental incident investigations and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Honours degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • •At least 3 years’ experience in a Mining or Construction-related field (or demonstrable experience in a similar analytical role).
  • •Demonstrable experience undertaking and reporting on environmental monitoring in line with compliance requirements.
  • •Ability to interpret complex environmental data and monitoring results.
  • •Competence in undertaking environmental inspections, audits and investigations, with clear technical reporting and record-keeping.
