Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver consulting services for mine waste projects, including design and inspection of mine waste storage facilities and closure design.
  • •Lead and input into the design and assessment of mine waste facilities across concept, detailed design, operational, and closure phases.
  • •Assist project managers by managing own involvement to support time, budget, and quality control.
  • •Lead, mentor, and supervise junior and intermediate staff and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • •Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities, cost estimates, and proposals; represent WSP with clients on site.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, collaboration, and delivery.
  • •Substantial and broad experience in mine waste and tailings.
  • •Proven track record delivering large, multi-disciplinary projects on time and on budget.
  • •Degree qualified in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology, with strong soil mechanics capability.
  • •Chartered professional with a relevant body and willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.
