Job Summary

Lead experimentation, modeling, and advanced data science efforts for Netflix Games studio in Helsinki. Partner with game studio stakeholders and the BI team to build ML models, run statistical analyses, and turn results into business insights. Own the experimentation platform, design and interpret A/B tests and observational studies, and collaborate with data engineers to improve data quality. Act as a thought partner to product and engineering, and mentor teammates to scale data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

•Partner with game studio and DSE stakeholders on advanced Data Science and ML initiatives (predictive modeling, causal inference, etc.).
•Own and lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of experiments that drive decision-making.
•Perform proactive data exploration to identify opportunities for business impact and innovation.
•Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for analysis and advanced data science.
•Act as a strategic thought partner to product managers and engineers and mentor more junior team members.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience working with engineering teams as a Data Scientist.
•Strong data analysis skills in SQL and Python/R, with fluency in at least one.
•Expertise in A/B testing, analyzing observational data, and statistical modeling.
•Solid applied ML modeling experience (e.g., deep neural networks) and model assessment.
•Experience building data models, designing schemas, and building robust data pipelines using workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
