Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct information system security engineering activities and ensure aircraft system and ground support security requirements are integrated into information systems through secure architecting, design, development, and configuration.
  • •Apply best practices for implementing security requirements across the F-35 Air System, including secure engineering methodologies and secure coding techniques.
  • •Provide daily cybersecurity engineering support, oversee CS deliverables, and verify POA&M resolution and continuous monitoring activities.
  • •Ensure Security Authorization Packages (SAP) are accurate, complete, and delivered to system government oversight; support compliance testing for Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
  • •Manage embedded resources and train/supplement ISSE/IASAEs; develop cybersecurity policies and instructions and provide engineering/architectural expertise for interoperability and security.

Key Requirements

  • •Active Secret clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred/ability to obtain).
  • •5+ years designing and developing organizational information systems or upgrading legacy systems with security controls using software engineering methodologies and secure design/architecture/coding techniques.
  • •1+ year practical airframe/weapon system security experience in secure network/system design, analysis, and procedure/test generation and execution.
  • •5 years of system security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) experience.
  • •DoD 8140 – Intermediate certification and a BS/BA or MS/MA in a related technical discipline (or equivalent F-35 IT major defense acquisition systems experience).
