Key Responsibilities

  • •Deploy to customer sites, test ranges, and demo locations to set up, configure, and operate Tightbeam terminals and Spacetime/SATCOM systems.
  • •Lead site surveys, installation, optical alignment, configuration, and commissioning for communications deployments across multiple platforms.
  • •Perform hands-on mechanical assembly and hardware integration, including optical fiber termination and handling.
  • •Set up and configure SATCOM terminals and integrate Tightbeam and/or SATCOM into customer networks.
  • •Troubleshoot complex issues and monitor demo/test systems, tracking and interpreting performance data; provide teardown and post-event field reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for field deployments (up to 50%), sometimes on short notice.
  • •Hands-on experience with mechanical hardware/mechanisms and comfort performing optical fiber termination and handling after training.
  • •Working familiarity with RF and optical communications/transceiver fundamentals, including networking protocol knowledge (Ethernet, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6) for integration.
  • •Comfort using engineering-level debug interfaces and quickly learning technical tooling during field troubleshooting.
  • •Active U.S. Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
