Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver electrical design for energy storage, solar, and grid connection projects within renewable energy and storage focus areas.
  • •Undertake Front End Engineering Design (FEED), planning design, and feasibility studies for energy storage systems including grid connections, control, and metering.
  • •Design BESS balance of plant (BOP) systems.
  • •Develop grid connection solutions (11kV–400kV) for energy storage and renewables.
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients; support bidding, project management, and quality management activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Suitable experience in FEED designer, detailed design, or owner’s engineer roles.
  • •Strong understanding of renewable generation and energy storage, particularly battery storage (types and chemistries).
  • •Experience designing HV grid connections and associated metering/control requirements for BESS installations, including collocated systems.
  • •Knowledge of grid connection requirements for renewable generation and storage (e.g., G99, G100, and grid code requirements), plus electrical plant/control systems (transformers, cables, circuit breakers, HV protection & control).
