Job Summary

Assist clients with residential mortgage origination by analyzing needs and advising on home lending solutions. Prospect and build relationships to grow loan referrals, originate and process mortgage transactions in line with Home Lending guidelines, and manage the loan journey as the primary point of contact through closing. Maintain strong client satisfaction and loan quality, deepen knowledge of KeyBank products and competitors, and stay current on real estate and mortgage market trends. Work in a branch environment in-person 4+ days/week.

Key Responsibilities

•Prospect and grow home lending business by building new client loan origination relationships and referrals.
•Originate and process targeted family residential real estate mortgage transactions according to Home Lending process and product guidelines.
•Provide clients detailed information on mortgage options, interest rates, and terms to support informed decisions.
•Gather required documents at loan registration and act as the primary point of contact through the loan process to closing.
•Maintain client satisfaction and loan quality, control sales/originator systems and workflows, and stay current on real estate and mortgage industry trends.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience (preferred).
•3+ years of experience as a loan officer in first mortgage production (preferred).
•Working knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL regulations, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act and RESPA regulations (preferred).
•Knowledge of local and state real estate and finance laws.
•Excellent communication and strong customer service skills.
