Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks by planning, evaluating, coordinating, and performing installation and/or reconfiguration of network components.
  • •Develop expertise in voice/data network hardware and software interconnection, including switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, and encryptors.
  • •Use network management software platforms and propose solutions to optimize communications requirements, redundancy, and network uptime.
  • •Prepare and maintain network documentation, including operational instructions and technical diagrams.
  • •Perform regular monitoring and network analysis and coordinate third-party maintenance or vendor support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent of at least 4 years of relevant network or IT systems administration experience).
  • •Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
  • •Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
  • •U.S. citizenship required to be eligible for a security clearance.
  • •Ability to work with general supervision and follow established procedures, including availability to work outside normal business hours as needed.
