Job Summary

Own the reliability of Starlink hardware from factory to field, building deep understanding across hardware design, manufacturing, testing, RF, and network operation. Lead and mentor a team focused on minimizing hardware failures and customer downtime, set strategy and ownership plans, and drive cross-functional reliability improvements. You’ll investigate performance issues, execute qualification strategies, automate test/data reporting, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and mentor a team of engineers and specialists focused on hardware reliability and field performance for the Starlink User Terminal Kit.
•Allocate resources across product qualification, production reliability priorities, and field hardware investigations to enable timely troubleshooting.
•Develop and execute reliability qualification strategies and design/execution of reliability testing across environmental, mechanical, electrical, RF, and system levels.
•Automate reliability test execution and reporting; define and monitor reliability testing/monitoring strategies and key field metrics (e.g., return rates).
•Oversee production quality activities and lead root-cause investigations for qualification, production, and field failures, driving corrective actions and ISO 9001 compliance.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as electrical, mechanical, materials, manufacturing, aerospace, or a related field.
•2+ years executing complex engineering projects in design qualification, manufacturing, hardware reliability, reliability testing, or a production environment.
•1+ years in a leadership position leading a team of 3+ engineers.
•Experience developing product qualification or hardware reliability strategies.
•Working experience in AS9100, ISO 9001, or an equivalent quality management system.
