Job Summary

Translate functional requirements into robust software designs for integrated submarine control systems, implementing and testing solutions across the full engineering design lifecycle. Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver high-quality control systems software using tools and languages including SCL, Ladder, and CTRL. Take ownership for your work and provide technical assistance to junior team members while leading assurance and review activities for configuration, release, documentation, integration, and validation.

Key Responsibilities

•Translate functional requirements into detailed software designs, implementing and testing solutions as part of an integrated system solution.
•Ensure software products are produced to recognised industry standards and maintained to high quality.
•Participate in all aspects of the software development cycle within a multidisciplinary team using SCL/Ladder/CTRL.
•Provide technical assistance to junior team members and take responsibility for your own and others’ work.
•Lead assurance and review activities for configuration, release, and documentation, and manage integration, configuration, release, and deployment.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Software Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or related subject.
•Proven experience delivering products across the full engineering design lifecycle, from concept through implementation, integration, and validation.
•Knowledge of one or more software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile, V model).
•Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC 61508-3, 61511, 62443, 61131).
•Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and/or WinCC OA.
