Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions for international university students in engineering-related subjects such as mathematics, physics, statics, dynamics, and introductory programming.

  • •Support students in applying theoretical knowledge to practical and real-world engineering contexts.
  • •Collaborate with the Kaplan Student Success team to monitor student progress and provide feedback on academic development.
  • •Clarify course material and provide guidance for assignments, homework, quizzes, and exam preparation using clear and accessible explanations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 25 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled in or has completed a degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Engineering Science).
  • •Strong proficiency in university-level engineering subjects including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and introductory programming.
  • •Ability to connect formulas and calculations to underlying principles and break down complex concepts step by step using examples or diagrams.
  • •Prior tutoring, teaching, or laboratory instruction experience, particularly with international students, is an asset.
  • •Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and in a culturally sensitive manner.
