Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation using tools such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including reconciliation, and obtain parts from approved vendors as needed.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders accurately, document work with photos via a company-issued iOS device, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/DOT safety and environmental policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related field experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional discipline education/certification or 5 years experience).
  • •Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain and maintain required DOT compliance, including passing a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
