Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspire, coordinate, and lead the hardware engineering team to deliver technical work products, schedules, and budgets, setting technical direction and engineering standards.
  • •Communicate and implement organizational initiatives and corrective actions, provide context for decisions, and establish objectives and KPIs to measure engineering performance.
  • •Oversee program-level schedules and resource balancing, coordinate risk management across teams, and approve staffing plans, labor estimates, and technical baselines.
  • •Drive cross-functional collaboration with Quality/Safety and Manufacturing for risk posture, design for manufacturability, and resolution of non-conformance during all working shifts.
  • •Standardize project management tools and processes across engineering teams, manage engineering tools/software costs, and mentor direct reports and front-line managers.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 14 years of engineering experience with functional or project management in the aerospace defense industry.
  • •4 years of experience as a functional manager.
  • •Experience as a project lead and/or functional manager in spacecraft development.
  • •Knowledge of satellite systems and components, with proven hardware engineering design and analysis for spacecraft avionics products.
  • •Experience with Electrical Ground Support Equipment/Test Equipment, Electrical Power Systems, Avionics Design and Analysis, RF Products Design and Analysis, Command and Data Handling, radiation/reliability design, and design for manufacturability and sustainment.
