Job Summary

Own site reliability for mission-critical systems by balancing real-time on-call incident response with strategic engineering to improve visibility, eliminate repetitive operational work, and raise service resilience. Create dashboards and alerts, instrument services with your development teams, and implement SLI/SLOs. Tackle performance and reliability issues escalated beyond L1/L2, while using Kubernetes, cloud platforms, metrics, logs, and traces to drive sustainable reliability.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in on-call rotations to detect and triage service/reliability issues across environments and act as Incident Commander during major incidents.
•Create and maintain dashboards and alerts, and partner with development teams to instrument code for end-to-end visibility.
•Develop automation to eliminate manual, repetitive operational tasks related to reliability across applications and infrastructure.
•Implement and track SLIs and SLOs defined by engineering leadership.
•Investigate and resolve customer complaints escalated beyond L1/L2, especially performance, reliability, or complex system behavior issues.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting enterprise applications as an SRE or similar role, with proficiency in Java, Go, or Python.
•Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and software design patterns.
•Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including managing applications on a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and troubleshooting container issues.
•Experience with Grafana dashboards and APM tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or Signoz, with solid understanding of metrics, logs, and traces.
•Proficiency in SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ability to write complex queries to debug data issues, including basic database performance understanding.
