Key Responsibilities

  • •Sourcing transportation providers and securing carrier capacity to support First Solar’s domestic and international logistics requirements.
  • •Lead carrier procurement activities, including bid events, rate negotiations, contract development, and carrier onboarding.
  • •Develop and maintain relationships with truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL), intermodal, and drayage service providers.
  • •Evaluate carrier performance using scorecards and performance metrics to align freight allocations with top-performing carriers.
  • •Maintain transportation rates, routing guides, and carrier data in Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), and analyze transportation spending and market trends to support sourcing decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • •Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation sourcing, carrier procurement, logistics operations, transportation brokerage, or supply chain management.
  • •Experience negotiating transportation rates and carrier contracts preferred.
  • •Exposure to multiple transportation modes, including truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), intermodal, and drayage.
  • •Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), specifically Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) preferred.
