Job Summary

Design, build, and activate technically advanced data center and facility power systems as part of the facility operations team. Provide detailed electrical engineering for power distribution, switchgear, lighting, UPS units, generators, controls, grounding, and fire/lightning protection. Support facility technicians with troubleshooting and conduct load flow analysis, equipment evaluation, and code reviews using applicable NFPA standards. Coordinate installations with utilities and other engineering disciplines in Memphis, Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide detailed electrical design and specification for installation of electrical power distribution, switchgear/MCCs, lighting, UPS, generators, transfer switches, power monitoring, distribution wiring, grounding, and fire/alarm and lightning protection systems.
•Support facility technicians by troubleshooting existing electrical equipment and controllers.
•Perform electrical design, operation, and troubleshooting activities including load flow analysis, electrical equipment evaluation, grounding, and power monitoring.
•Ensure electrical systems interface properly with mechanical/electrical systems and remain compatible with facility power budgets.
•Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with local electrical utilities, and ensure designs/installations conform to applicable codes using NFPA standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another engineering discipline.
•3+ years of professional experience working on electrical projects, power distribution systems, switchgear, UPSs, and/or generators.
•Ability to read and understand power and control schematics.
•Ability to read and understand highly technical equipment operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.
•Professional Engineering (PE) license.
