Job Summary

Develop and enhance AFATDS International software capabilities for new and updated requirements, fixing defects in existing C2 software and contributing to future capability planning. Work within an agile, team-based environment at the Fort Wayne site, sometimes serving as a Scrum Master or sub-team lead. The role includes exploring AI toolsets and algorithms and supporting disciplined engineering practices for fire support command and control products.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement AFATDS software capabilities for new and/or updated requirements.
•Identify, analyze, and remedy bugs in existing AFATDS software.
•Path find future software capabilities involving AI toolsets and algorithms.
•Support agile development by serving as a Scrum Master when needed and facilitating agile processes and effective communication.
•Serve as a sub-team leader by coordinating technical tasks and ensuring program alignment.

Key Requirements

•Experience using one or more build tools/IDEs (e.g., CMake, make, Visual Studio, VS Code) and workflow tools such as JIRA, Git, Subversion, Docker, and requirements management applications.
•Object-oriented programming experience with C++ or Java.
•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
•Ability to develop implementation of software requirements in a team environment under guidance of a team leader.
•Experience working with agile development practices, including coordinating technical activities aligned to sprint goals.
