•Lead delivery of mechanical engineering, statutory compliance and safe systems of work across the estate
•Supervise directly employed engineers and specialist contractors to ensure planned and reactive maintenance complies with safety and performance standards
•Oversee inspection, testing and maintenance of mechanical plant, HVAC, pressure systems, steam, water systems and LEV equipment; ensure governance of risk assessments and permits to work
•Review new installations, refurbishments and handover documents to ensure compliance before entry into service
•Maintain CAFM records, lifecycle planning and accurate data to support efficient maintenance delivery and asset information

Key Requirements

•Significant experience in a mechanical engineering leadership role in a regulated environment (MOD, healthcare, industrial)
•Strong knowledge of mechanical building services, HVAC systems, and applicable regulations (Gas Safe, OFTEC, F-Gas, JSP 375, SFG20, CDM)
•Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3) with experience as a Qualified Supervisor or Authorised Person preferred
•Experience supervising directly employed engineers and contractors, and managing risk assessments, permits to work and method statements
•Ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance; British Nationals preferred for vetting reasons
