Key Responsibilities

  • •Get hands-on experience across newsroom functions including reporting, producing, assignment desk work, and producing social videos.
  • •Participate in daily planning meetings and contribute ideas for news programming based on the Telemundo 60 KVDA News Strategy.
  • •Monitor mainstream and social media sites for story ideas, sources/leads, and competitive intelligence.
  • •Write assigned segments and web articles, including digital newscasts, using AP Style and required formatting.
  • •Cut video from newscasts and add proper metadata for posting on social media and the website/app.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 15 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution and be able to provide documentation confirming degree progress.
  • •Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • •Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
  • •Must be willing to work at the station in San Antonio, Texas.
  • •Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).
