Job Summary

Lead vertical transportation (lift and escalator) consultancy by developing VT design concepts and calculating lift specifications. Use lift traffic simulation and design tools to produce efficient solutions, technical reports, and client-ready documentation. Coordinate with project design teams, VT suppliers, subcontractors, and relevant local authorities to ensure approvals and correct implementation, while collaborating across engineering disciplines for integrated building design.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop VT design concepts and calculate lift specifications for efficient client solutions.
•Use lift traffic design software (Elevate), CAD, BIM, and Revit to support VT design and reporting.
•Produce technical reports to illustrate designs to the client and their representatives.
•Coordinate and attend meetings with the project design team, VT suppliers, and specialist subcontractors to ensure implementation.
•Liaise with local authority departments and relevant stakeholders to obtain approvals and coordinate with other discipline engineers (architectural, structural, telecoms, IT, mechanical and electrical) as applicable.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
•At least 8+ years of experience designing vertical transportation systems for diverse building types and sectors.
•Strong understanding of VT codes, standards, and local building regulations, with expertise in EN81 or EN115 codes and UK building codes.
•Ability to manage multiple projects, reviews, and deadlines while adapting to changing demands.
•Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and teams.
