Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems at a fast-paced pork processing plant to keep production running safely and efficiently. Install, repair, and maintain motors, control panels, lighting, wiring, and power distribution; diagnose complex electrical issues to minimize downtime; and support plant equipment during emergencies and shutdowns. Follow LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and GMP requirements, ensure compliance with OSHA/NEC, document maintenance work, and collaborate with the maintenance supervisor and plant teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems including motors, control panels, lighting, wiring, and power distribution.
•Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and blueprints to restore operations quickly.
•Diagnose and repair electrical problems throughout the plant to minimize downtime and keep production flowing.
•Follow LOCKOUT/TAGOUT, GMPs, and comply with electrical codes and regulations (OSHA, NEC) while leading safety checks.
•Collaborate with maintenance and plant teams, prioritize tasks with the maintenance supervisor, and document electrical maintenance and repairs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 35.03 hourly

Key Requirements

•Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school and 2+ years related experience (or equivalent combination).
•PLC experience highly desired.
•Read and write fluently in English to understand technical/training manuals.
•Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of personnel and outside contractors.
•Forklift, genie lift or scissor lift operation ability preferred.
